Sunday, December 12th: Half-Day Retreat; The Healing Practice of Loving-Kindness

John Bruna will facilitate this timely retreat focused on developing the wisdom and application of loving-kindness for self and others. In these challenging times, the development of loving-kindness is a profound method of healing for ourselves and our communities.

As we cultivate the wisdom and practice of loving-kindness, we free ourselves of hatred, develop more peace and ease, and improve our relationships, and become more skillful in our interactions, including those we find difficult or challenging. Loving-Kindness is universal to all and not limited to any spiritual or religious tradition. This is a practical practice that you will be able to incorporate immediately into your life. This retreat is hosted by the Way of Compassion Dharma Center and will be both online and in-person. Learn More.

March 18-20, 2022: Men’s Annual Recovery Retreat at Graymoor, Garrison NY

We are excited to once again join together in person! We have all found our way through the challenges of the last couple of years, discovering our resiliency, the power of the fellowship, and steps working in our lives. Now it is time to come together, take a breath, heal, laugh, hug, and support each other as we strive to fully live our lives of recovery.

This year’s retreat will focus on actively living the third step. So many of our struggles, stress, worries, and fears are a result of resisting life as it is or fearing that things won’t turn out the way we want. As we know, this is an exercise in futility and, even though we know better, a well-worn habit that can continue to plague us even in our recovery. In acceptance (living in reality) we find our peace, gratitude, and solutions. While we are not the center of the universe, we are a valuable part of it and can truly enjoy all it has to offer. Learn More
